Wedding Florals Timeline: When to Order for a Stress-Free Day

Wedding Florals Timeline: When to Order for a Stress-Free Day

If you’re dreaming of dried flower crowns and bohemian bouquets for your wedding day, timing is everything.  I know how much care goes into planning your celebration and I want your floral experience to be as easy and joyful as possible.  Here’s my honest, experience-based guide to ordering your wedding florals, so you can tick “flowers” off your list with total peace of mind.

Why Timing Matters for Dried Wedding Florals

Unlike fresh flowers, dried and preserved blooms are made to last, so you don’t need to worry about wilting petals or last-minute deliveries. But since every Luna and Wild piece is handcrafted to order (and often custom designed just for you), a little advance planning is essential.

For Packages & Custom Designs: 6–12 Months Ahead

If you’re ordering a full wedding package - think bouquets, flower crowns, buttonholes, or a custom colour palette, my best advice is to get in touch as early as possible. Ideally, get in touch or place your order around 6–12 months before your wedding date.

Why so early?
  • Custom designs take time, from sourcing the perfect blooms and creating your unique pieces.
  • My work schedule fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding season (August to October), and early orders mean I can guarantee your spot in my diary.
  • You’ll have plenty of time for tweaks, questions, and even a hair trial if you’d like to see how your crown or accessories feel before the big day.

For Smaller Accessories: 2 Months Ahead

If you’re after a single flower crown, hair pins, or just a few buttonholes, you have a bit more flexibility.  I recommend ordering around 2 months before your event.
This gives me time to handcraft your piece with care and ensures it arrives fresh, beautiful, and ready for your celebration.

Special Details: Hair Trials & Destination Weddings

When you place your order, you’ll be able to enter your wedding date when you add an item to the cart, this helps me schedule your order so it arrives in perfect time.
If you’re planning a hair trial, or heading off early for a destination wedding, just let me know your trial or departure date in the order notes. I’ll make sure your florals are ready and delivered when you need them, wherever you’re celebrating.

A Few Final Tips

  • Last-minute? If you’re on a tight timeline, don’t panic! Just pop me a message. I’ll always do my best to help fit you in my schedule.
  • Peace of mind: Dried florals can be made well in advance and stored safely, so you can focus on the rest of your planning without worry.
  • Personal touch: Every order is handmade by me, from first email to final ribbon tie, so you’re always in safe hands.
